Round 1 of the Snowbee Top Rod competition was at Kennick today.
Weather on arrival was a very chilly 2 degrees but the sun was out and soon warmed up especially on the East bank which was out of the wind. Fishing on the lodge bank was very chilly for those who fished it and by early afternoon all anglers had gone across to the other side to enjoy the 9 degrees temps.
15 anglers made the trip and Tom Hendy had coffees and bacon rolls ready for us as we registered, thanks Tom.
Best tactics of the day were Intermediate / DI3 / DI5 lines with weighted black and green nymphs, orange blobs and boobies fished at depth.
