Snowbee Top Rod Competition July 10th - Clatworthy Boat

Round 6 of the Snowbee Top Rod was back at Clatworthy high up on the Brendon Hills near Wiveliscombe.

Weather was a very warm 28 degrees with light variable winds.

Due to Covid 3 anglers were unable to fish today so we had a reduced turnout of 13.

There was the odd fish moving throughout the morning but as the heat of the day increased the fish dropped to the cooler water.

Alan Riddell of Newton Abbot was the only angler to catch his limit of 5 fish which he had done within 2hrs and was back at the lodge to relax in the shade!

Best flies were buzzers, diawl bachs fished on a floating line then blobs on a DI5.

13 anglers caught 17 fish for a bag weight of 42lbs 5oz.
